Sara Feister, PHR is the Human Resources Director at Oshtemo Charter Township. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Western Michigan University. Sara has served on the KHRMA Committee since January 2022 as the Website Chair. Sara is a lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan. Her favorite part of HR is compensation & benefits. Building and maintaining relationships with the employees that she serves is very important to Sara. She enjoys taking time out of each day to check in with as many employees as possible! In her free time, you’ll find Sara spending time with her family and her friends. She loves to host get togethers at her home! Sara and her husband Lance have three daughters and currently live in Vicksburg.

Shannon Thomas

Shannon Thomas is an Employee Benefits Advisor at Rose Street Advisors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University and has worked on the Day of Development committee since 2023.  Shannon values working closely with business leaders to make a positive impact at their organization. Her skills include consulting on HR processes, benefits and creating efficiencies within the employee lifecycle. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and anything outside during the warmer months.

David Steves, SHRM-CP is the HR Manager for Parker Pneumatic supporting their Richland and Otsego locations.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and an MBA in Organizational Leadership, both degrees are from Norwich University.  David has been working in Human Resources for the past 8 years supporting in training and development with a focus on leadership, employee relations, and recruiting.  David is a US Army veteran who deployed twice (Iraq in ‘05 and Afghanistan in ’08). His last assignment was as a Team Chief in Afghanistan teaching, coaching, and mentoring the Afghan Border Police.  His favorite parts of HR are making decisions that will positively impact the lives of the employees he supports.  He also enjoys partnering closely with leaders inside the organization to help guide careers and enhance the employee experience. David is also a proud father of two amazing daughters (Addie – 12, Emmy- 10). You can find him singing along to any Disney song and attending their events.
